Each stage has its own selection requirements. A good NSEB score does not by itself guarantee a place on the international team. Read the selection guide for the distinction between minimum admissible scores, merit criteria and final selection.
Your first three steps
- Read every condition on the eligibility page.
- Use the syllabus map to identify unfamiliar topics.
- Attempt a past paper and record what you could not explain.
Common starting questions
Is NSEB the same as NEET?
No. NSEB is part of the Biology Olympiad selection programme. NEET is a separate entrance examination. School biology helps with both, but you must practise the actual NSEB format and reasoning demands.
Can I take NSEB and NSEJS in the same year?
The current eligibility conditions say that candidates for NSEB must not also appear in NSEJS 2026.
Is this the official NSEB website?
No. NSEB.in is an independent study guide. Official notices, registration and exam decisions come from IAPT and HBCSE.
